Feeling renewed today, and getting back on track starting with going through every e-mail I’ve received recently to make sure I’ve followed up on everything that needed to be addressed.  Then phone calls.  Then planning.  A few tidbits from today so far:

LOI got added today to the ABA’s Omnibus blogroll, which is really nice.

A couple of the books that were out of stock from islamicbookstore.com are now available, and I’m considering ordering them both to have them on hand for when we open, to write thematic stuff in the blog(s), for Houston Islamic Source (BTW, go to online editions and check out the front page of the March edition – that was a wonderful surprise from the editor!), and wherever else.  I’ve been particularly interested lately in both Islam as a historical American religion and in African American Muslims, both in history and presently.  I had a bunch of those books for TDC and MAS and sold out of many of them.  I’d also like to start discussion groups and such even before the store opens.  I’ve been attending a weekly book discussion group made up primarily of converts at the Raindrop Center every Sunday.  They’re having a spirituality retreat this weekend that I was invited to, but I have some uncertainty about it.  They had originally asked me to join a panel discussion but I couldn’t commit because of the surgery.  The panel got canceled anyway.  But I digress.

OK, I need to carry on.  More later.
