Yesterday’s reading by Fady Joudah went really well. The classroom was full and Dr. Joudah was kind of enough to do some Q&A about his work after the reading. A good number of people hung out afterwards and got the Light of Islam vibe
Unfortunately, no one showed up for Islam 101 today. What’s up, people?

Well, folks, I did it – I’ve made the switch to Apple! I bought a laptop yesterday and I am taking advantage of their One to One program, with my first session this morning. It wasn’t an easy decision to buy it, but I did so after really examining the goals I have for web site design, creating promotional materials and other things I need a computer for. The web site, as long-time readers know, is a particular obsession of mine. Last week I took a webinar about content management systems offered by TANO (I highly recommend them), so little by little I’m increasing my knowledge – and for the right price (One to One is $99/year and the TANO webinar was $40). I don’t understand why any ordinary user like me would need to know html or CSS in order to update their web site. Maybe I’m missing something, but I’m glad I went in this direction instead of struggling to learn code.
Light of Islam got more press coverage in the Bay Area Citizen. The world is getting to know us!
